The Epiphany Series

Dreams about Freedom are strong in everyone whether they come from your imagination while sleeping or maybe from something or somewhere else. You will have to be the judge of that. After spending a year writing the eight volume 2101 Chronicles I was spent on science fiction. During the last chronicle I started to see the tales below. Again the government has enslaved the people but unlike the FEMA series I watched a different path unfold. Violent, emotional and meaningful with a touch of humor. The Staff of Joe I and II go with the Timelord of God. The Timelord of God marries the 2101 Chronicles in the end and there are dreams still to be written. Arks is a stand alone vibrant tale and a controversial story for some. I found it to be a fascinating write.

Six massive oblong black objects descend through Earth's atmosphere without being detected by the world's most technological advanced detection devices. It was a farmer in the cornfields west of Kansas City who first raised the alarm. Five of the objects, six miles in circumference and forty miles in length, hover in Kansas. One, for some unknown reason, settles twenty feet over the Nevada desert between Pahrump and the Spring Mountains, west of Las Vegas.

World leaders as well as religious leaders were shaken. Now there was proof we were not alone. Distrust between nations rise to a high level because of the cylinders locations.

A young successful science fiction writer living large in Las Vegas was awakened by the incessant ringing of the telephone by his sister in Miami. He groggily turned on his big screen to see the local news broadcast of the cylinder in Nevada. At first, he thought it was one of Sin City's notorious promotions.

He gets a call from a woman who wants him to write a novel in thirty days about the cylinder. She is a publicist for Heaven Publishing. With her advertising campaign he will become the most well known author in mankind's history. After a lunch with her and her male CEO of Heaven Publishing he accepts the assignment.He is impressed by how perfect the woman appears and how intelligent she seems. The CEO for Heaven Publishing also is young and handsome with an atheltic build. The couple could easily be runway models. He emails the final manuscript in thirty days.

That night sitting at his computer he gets a call from the woman telling him that the first ad campaign would start on the six o'clock news and to be sure to watch. At exactly six o'clock, the news is televising the long black cylinder on screen, when the cylinder starts to blink, much like a television screen. He is stunned to see the cover of his new novel slowly scrolling on the side of the Ark hanging over the desert. He knew then that he was a wanted man. He flees his home into the night finding himself under the bright lights on the Strip and he finds he is not alone. He also realized that he knows what will be happening in the future and why the Arks are here. He wrote the book.

The Staff of Joe

Joe is a Teamster dock worker in Las Vegas. He is a middle aged man and like most working people, now is employed by the federal government. Everyone in America works for the federal government at wages that are determined by bureaucrats far away. Wages that barely feed a family. To lose your ability to work means a trip to a FEMA camp to never be heard from again.

Everyone living in the United States knows it will take a miracle to get out of the living hell now called life, including Joe. He worries what will become of him and his wife, Mary, once he ages and can no longer lift heavy boxes everyday. Work shifts are now seven days a week as mandated by the dictator to overcome his misguided economic policies.

Friday is when people get their weekly food allotment which consists of a large paper sack filled with whatever the government feels you should eat or what they have sitting around to dispense. This day Joe received two bags and felt like he was blessed. Upon arriving at his home after passing through two Homeland Security checkpoints on Flamingo Avenue he takes one bag inside his home and gives it to his wife. He mentions he wishes God would come to Earth to set things right in America.

Going back outside to his car for the second bag he sees an old bum sitting on his bench seat under the carport. This is not an ordinary bum. After being touched by the Hand of God he is left with a gnarled six foot long stick. A very old stick. Upon examination he sees many names carved on the staff. One of the names is Moses. Placing both of his hands on the Staff he hears his instructions on what he should do. His journey begins and is action packed, sometimes violent, sometimes reflective and sometimes humorous. Joe is headed to Washington, D.C. and along the way he gets some help from two unforgettable characters. One most people know. The other, only biblical scholars are familiar with. A tale with an ending you will remember. Pray for Joe.

The Staff of Joe II

This tale is concurrent with the Staff of Joe. Texas and Montana become the first states to secede from the United States. The federal decides they want them back in the union and sends troops but the government is not as strong as they used to be. A two front civil war weakens the powers in charge and the Texas and Montana manage to fend off the military...for now.

Meet Billy, a weapons whiz ordered by the government to develop his EMP weapon at Area 51 in Nevada. At minimum wage.

His parents have been sent to a FEMA Camp because of their age. One night while at work he receives an email from Homeland Security that they have both passed...mysteriously. He decides he has had enough and manages to smuggle out his cooler sized weapon to Las Vegas but Homeland Security is on to him. When his plane lands at McCarren Airport they will be waiting for him. It is a death sentence. Thanks to some divine intervention and a wayward space traveler riding a unique machine he manages to get away. He is not sure about the two strangers who saved him. One is named Michael while the other goes by the old man...at first. After two days and nights of tearing up Las Vegas the three get away to Montana. During their escape Billy discovers who his accomplices are and the action gets hot and heavy in Montana. But there is heavy price to pay.

Time Lord of God

Welcome to an alternate Earth.It is 1969 in the States except this is not the States that the old man was familiar with. In 1969 he was just getting out of high school, was chasing the girls, listening to Hendrix and the Beach Boys and cruising the streets in a 396 Camaro. None of that was happening in the Socialist States of North America.
To his consternation the old man found out that things had gone terribly wrong on this Earth in the past, Adolph Hitler never invaded Russia and Stalin had thrown his Allies under the Nazi bus. After the D Day disaster America was a broken country although not yet defeated. After dropping nuclear bombs on New York City and Washington D.C. three years later and six more major American cities the next day killing millions of Americans, the war was over.
Now the world was a God less world controlled by Hitler and his four blood thirsty sons. The holocaust had spread world wide after the conclusion of World War II. Entire races and religions had been methodically exterminated by the Nazis the last twenty years. Now one knew how many millions of people had been poisoned, gassed or killed by nuclear explosions world wide the past twenty years. At least there had been no more wars since 1947..
God had asked the old man to go to this Earth at this point of time to see if anything could be done to change things for the better. If not, Michael and his armies would be the ones taking care of business in the near future.
When he finds just two young adults, a crippled teenager and eight of his friends willing to help in the struggle against a billion Nazis worldwide he is tempted to leave but something inside tells him there might be a chance for some serious payback for Americans. A small chance.
